Express Tools uses AI to help contractors find the right precision equipment, answer product questions, and provide purchasing guidance. Our AI systems are powered by Anthropic's Claude models and use Voyage AI for semantic product search.

What AI Does on Express Tools

• Product recommendations: suggests equipment based on your application and requirements
• Product Q&A: answers questions about specifications, compatibility, and use cases
• Search: uses semantic understanding to match your needs to the right products
• Buyer guides: AI-assisted content that explains equipment selection for specific applications

AI Identity Disclosure

Our AI assistant will always identify itself as an AI when asked. It is not a human sales representative. If you ask "Are you a person?" or "Are you an AI?", it will confirm it is an AI assistant.

Data Used by Our AI

When you use Express Tools' AI features, the following data may be processed:

• Your search queries and questions (to provide relevant answers)
• Products you've viewed or added to cart (to improve recommendations)
• Application context you provide (job type, equipment brand, requirements)

Your conversations are processed by Anthropic's API. Anthropic's data handling practices are governed by their Privacy Policy. Product search uses Voyage AI embeddings; see their Privacy Policy.

AI Limitations

AI product recommendations are based on general application knowledge and available product data. They should not replace professional judgment for critical applications. Always verify that equipment meets your specific job requirements, certifications, or regulatory needs before purchasing. Express Tools is not liable for AI recommendation errors.

Pricing and Availability

AI-generated product information (prices, availability, specifications) may not reflect real-time inventory or current pricing. Always confirm final pricing and availability at checkout. Prices shown by AI assistants are estimates based on typical market ranges.

California AI Transparency (SB 942)

In compliance with California SB 942, Express Tools discloses that this product uses generative AI. Some product descriptions, buyer guide content, and recommendations are generated or enhanced by AI models. AI-generated content is reviewed by our team for accuracy.
