Spectra Precision LL300S — Complete Specs, Manual & Guide
Category: Rotating Laser | Brand: Spectra Precision | Model: LL300S
The Spectra Precision LL300S is a professional self-leveling single-grade rotating laser designed for horizontal plane work on construction sites. The LL300S automatically levels to horizontal within its ±5° leveling range, then projects a continuous 360° red laser plane at high RPM for fast, accurate grade control. It pairs with the HL760 receiver for machine control and the HL700 family for hand-held grade checking.

Frequently Asked Questions — Spectra Precision LL300S
What is the working range of the LL300S?
The LL300S projects a laser plane to a 600m working diameter (300m radius) under favorable conditions. Receiver type and ambient light affect effective range; in direct sunlight, a receiver's sun shield and the LL300S's maximum RPM setting improve detection at longer distances.
Can the LL300S project a grade slope instead of horizontal?
No. The LL300S is a single-grade horizontal laser only. It levels to horizontal automatically within the ±5° self-leveling range. For slope projection (e.g., 2% grade for drainage), the Spectra Precision GL722 or GL612 dual-grade lasers are required.
How long does the LL300S battery last?
On a full charge of the NiMH battery pack, the LL300S runs up to 40 hours continuously. The battery pack is field-replaceable, so carrying a spare allows all-day operation without interruption on large sites.
What happens if the LL300S goes out of level?
If the instrument is moved or bumped beyond the ±5° self-leveling range, the LL300S stops rotating and flashes a warning to receivers. This out-of-level lockout prevents projecting an incorrect grade plane. Simply re-level the instrument within ±5° to resume normal operation.
