PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Product Description

Dependable Single-Grade Laser Performance for Serious Contractors

The Spectra Precision LL300N-BCC bundles the field-proven LL300N rotary laser head with a rugged protective carrying case — giving you a ready-to-work kit for foundation layout, site grading, concrete pours, and general elevation control. If you already own a compatible receiver and grade rod, this configuration lets you put a trusted instrument to work without paying for redundant accessories. Straightforward to set up and built to handle the daily abuse of an active jobsite, the LL300N has earned its reputation as a workhorse among concrete and earthwork contractors across North America.

Overview: Rotary Laser Built for Elevation Control

The LL300N is a single-grade self-leveling rotary laser designed for horizontal applications where accuracy and reliability matter more than a long feature list. Once powered on, the instrument self-levels within its compensation range and immediately begins projecting a 360-degree reference plane. With an operating range of up to 2,000 feet in diameter when paired with a compatible receiver, it covers large pads, commercial foundations, and sprawling grading projects without repositioning. The sealed housing shrugs off dust and moisture, keeping it running through concrete work, grading cuts, and rough weather on open sites.

Key Specifications

  • Accuracy: ±1/16 in. at 100 ft. (±1.5 mm at 30 m)
  • Self-leveling range: ±5°
  • Working range: up to 1,000 ft. radius (2,000 ft. diameter) with receiver
  • Rotation speed: 150, 300, or 600 RPM selectable
  • Laser class: Class IIIa, 635 nm visible red beam
  • Power source: 4 × D-cell alkaline batteries
  • Battery life: up to 100 hours at 600 RPM
  • IP54-rated housing for dust and splash resistance
  • Operating temperature: -4°F to 122°F (-20°C to 50°C)

What's in This Kit

  • Spectra Precision LL300N rotary laser head
  • Rugged protective carrying case
  • Not included: detector/receiver, grade rod, tripod, or mounting bracket — add the components you need separately

Jobsite Applications

Foundation Layout: Set a consistent elevation reference around a full foundation perimeter. The LL300N's 360-degree beam lets multiple crew members read grade simultaneously from any angle, eliminating the back-and-forth of manual leveling checks.

Site Grading and Earthwork: Use the LL300N with a grade rod and receiver to establish cut-and-fill elevations across a pad or parking lot. The extended working range handles large commercial sites in a single instrument setup.

Concrete Flatwork and Pours: Control slab thickness and elevation during concrete placement. The selectable rotation speed options let you optimize beam visibility in varying light and working conditions.

Utility and Drainage Slope Work: While the LL300N is a horizontal-plane instrument, it serves as a reliable reference for checking pipe fall, swale grades, and drainage elevation benchmarks across a site.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this kit include a laser receiver?
No. The LL300N-BCC includes only the LL300N laser head and carrying case. A receiver such as the Spectra Precision HR320 or HL760 is required to detect the beam outdoors or at extended ranges. If you need a complete kit with receiver, contact our team for bundled options.
What is the self-leveling range of the LL300N?
The LL300N will self-level automatically when set up within ±5° of level. If the instrument is tilted beyond that range, it locks out and alerts the operator rather than projecting an inaccurate reference — a critical safety feature for precision elevation work.
Can the LL300N be used for slope or grade applications?
The standard LL300N is a horizontal-plane laser and does not project a tilted or grade-percent plane. For dual-grade or single-grade slope applications, look at the Spectra Precision LL300S or LL500 series. The LL300N is optimized for level reference work.
How long do batteries last and what type does it use?
The LL300N runs on four standard D-cell alkaline batteries and delivers up to 100 hours of run time at 600 RPM. D-cells are widely available on any jobsite supply run, so you won't be hunting for specialty power sources in the field.

Why This Equipment

Auto Self-Leveling

Compensates for job site movement and setups — no manual leveling required.

Long Range

Reach 2,600+ ft with a receiver — covers large pads and site-wide grading without moving.

IP55+ Protection

Dust-tight and water jet resistant — built for outdoor construction in any weather.

Radio Remote

Change grade or elevation from the cab or anywhere on site without walking back.

Why Buy This?

The right rotary laser pays for itself in weeks.

A grade checker costs $600–800 per day. A quality rotary laser setup eliminates that cost indefinitely — and works faster. One operator with a good laser and receiver can cover ground that used to take a two-person crew.

The gap between a budget unit and a professional-grade one shows up in the field: self-leveling range on uneven pads, IP55+ protection through rain and dust, and radio remote control so you're not walking back to the instrument every time the job moves.
