What is the difference between a grade laser and a rotary laser?
A grade laser (also called a slope laser or dual-grade laser) is designed specifically to set and hold a programmable slope — it tilts its beam axis to match a specified grade percentage. A standard rotary laser projects only a level (flat) plane. Grade lasers are used for drainage, road crowning, and any application requiring a sloped reference plane. Single-grade lasers set slope on one axis; dual-grade lasers set independent slopes on X and Y simultaneously.
How accurate are grade lasers for drainage and road work?
